Training Philosophy

What’s our Training philosophy?

Simply put, we don’t adhere to just one type of “training system” or a one-size-fits all program. We have a toolbox of skills, knowledge, and equipment we have spent years grasping and mastering. Just as different people may learn differently, the same goes for our four-legged students.

We are known as “balanced trainers”, in that we use all four quadrants of dog training. We believe that trust, mutual respect, and a strong relationship between an owner and their dog is crucial for a lifetime of happiness for both parties involved.

We believe that engagement with your dog is important and that your dog should always find you to be the most interesting person when out and about in the real world.

We use whatever tools are available to us to provide the appropriate training for the dog in front of us, whether we motivate with food, toy, praise, physical affection. We also teach dogs in our program that boundaries are important and that “no” has firm, but fair consequences. Please feel free to ask us any questions.

At the end of the day, we love to see our clients’ dogs happy, engaged, obedient, confident, and comfortable.
